I just read something in Mere Christianity (by C.S. Lewis) that I think goes with this topic. "If what you call your 'faith' in Christ does not involve taking the slightest notice of what He says, then it is not Faith at all--not faith or trust in Him, but only intellectual acceptance of some theory about Him."

I second what Steff and Josh said!! Also it really annoys me when people have no problem taking what they want from the Bible and discarding the rest!!!

I can't for the life of me discern what Obama was refering to in the Sermon on the Mount (unless he is referencing "do not judge, lest ye be judged) If Obama wants to appeal to Christians, he should get his facts straight first.

Also, I'm not sure that we should consider allowing people to live a lifestyle in direct defiance of a very clear biblical command something we can have a respectful agreement about.

But that's just my view ;)

Wow, I must be getting old and losing my memory. While I know that the passage in Romans speaks directly about homosexuality, I can't remember any portion of the Sermon on the Mount that speaks directly about homosexuality.

Just out of curiosity, what was he referencing?
